"ESCAPE FROM NY" TESTS
Antes de mi encargo en la serie Golpe en la Pequeña China, mi camino se cruzó con el de las pelis de Carpenter antes, con una oferta de Boom! para su serie Rescate en NY. Dibujé (e incluso coloree) estas pruebas como una declaración de intenciones, porque tenía una visión muy específica de este universo. La editorial me apoyó pero tristemente la gente the Carpenter prefirió un acercamiento diferente, más realista, y mis muestras rechazadas (y el dibujante escogido la verdad es que mola). Pero quería compartir con vosotros como veo al personaje y la saga.
Before my assignment in the Big trouble in Little China series, my path crossed with the Carpenter movies with an offer from Boom! for its Escape for NY series. I drew (even colored) these proofs as a declaration of intent because I had a very specific vision of this universe. The publishing supported me, but sadly the Carpenter´s people prefered a different approach, more realistic and my samples were rejected (and the chosen artist really rocks). But I wanted to share with you how I see the character and the saga.
